National TV Dinner Day - What to watch! 📺
Can you believe that there is now a day dedicated to TV dinners?
TV dinners have been around for a very long time now, so much so that there is now a day dedicated to the tradition which is celebrated on September 10th every year.
National TV Dinner Day is now celebrated all over the world. Crazy right?
TV dinners are convenient for busy people all over the world, and are not just for lazy people. From frozen microwave meals to eating your favourite takeaway in front of the TV, we’ve all been a victim of sitting on the sofa to eat your meal at the end of a hard working day.
To celebrate National TV Dinner Day, we wanted to let you know what to watch on TV this week to really get involved in the celebrations.
Here are our top picks of TV shows and films to watch:
National Television Awards
Thursday 9th September - ITV1 - 7:30pm
The National Television Awards 2021 will celebrate all the amazing TV shows and the people who make them possible.
With celebrating the best British TV has to offer, the line-up is fiercely competitive. As always, some incredible TV shows, actors and more have been nominated.
There are a number of categories, including Best Serial Drama, Best Challenge Show and Best Drama Performance.
Hosted by Joel Dommett, the NTAs will air from London’s O2 Arena and will kick off live on ITV at 7:30pm.
Cinderella
Amazon Prime
We’ve lost count of how many versions of the classic tale have been recreated but we are so here for the newest version of the fairy-tale. American Singer Camila Cabello plays Cinderella in the latest rendition. However, the new-age Cinderella is not the traditional girl of the old story. The 2021 version is a classic mix of modernity and the original tale.
As cheesy as this movie is and we’re saddened that Shawn Mendes didn’t play the role of Prince Charming, the soundtrack for this movie is incredible and we guarantee that you will be listening to the songs on repeat for the foreseeable future.
Cinderella is now available to stream on Amazon Video with Prime access.
Fever Pitch: The Rise of the Premier League

Ready to Mingle
ITV2, Monday 6th September
If you’re a fan of Love Island, then this brand new dating game show will be right up your street. Ready to Mingle sees a single girl on the hunt for her perfect companion as twelve suitors compete for her affection (and the chance to win a huge cash prize). But there is a twist.. Not all of them are single. If you’re aware of the hit TV show in the US called The Bachelor/The Bachelorette, we’re assuming that it will be pretty similar to that format. Ready to Mingle is hosted by Canadian comedian, Katherine Ryan.
