So far, 2021 has been an amazing year for new music and we still have 3 months left of the year! With festivals and indoor gigs back on, more artists are releasing new music and we are so here for it!
At the start of the year we talked about new music releases and what we can expect from the music industry in 2021. 9 months in and we have been absolutely spoiled rotten!
From new music from Olympic champions to the return of boy bands, here is a new music update for you all!
Last Friday was a great day for new single releases and an even better day for comebacks.
Who remembers JLS? Everybody in love, go on, put your hands up!
We saw the return of Aston, Marvin, Oritse and JB last week with the release of their brand new single called Eternal Love. If you grew up listening to JLS, or even loved them as a young adult, then you will be just as excited as us about their comeback!

Another release on September 3rd was Love (Sweet Love) by Little Mix.
Love (Sweet Love) is the lead single from Little Mix’s upcoming album ‘Between Us’ which is expected to be released on November 12th 2021.
Recently, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock have become mothers for the first time.
Before welcoming their little ones, it was business as usual for the girls as they joined bandmate Jade Thirlwall to film the music video for their new catchy track.
Love (Sweet Love) is the first single to be released as a three following Jesy Nelson’s decision to quit the band.

If you’ve already watched the new Cinderella movie featuring Camilla Cabello then you would have already heard of this song.
Over the years, there have been many remakes and last Friday we saw the release of Amazon Prime’s modern-musical take on the classic tale. This movie is filled with an upbeat soundtrack and we are obsessed with it!
Million To One by Camila Cabello is the big ballad from the movie and trust us, it’s a gooden!
This track is co-written and performed by Camila and is the first original song to feature in the Cinderella movie.
We have high hopes for this song and movie and we expect to watch this track make its way to the top of the charts in no time.

Drake - Certified Lover Boy
Last Friday on September 3rd we saw the return of pop-rap, hit single machine.
Yes, Drake is back.
Certified Lover Boy is the sixth studio album from everybody’s favourite Canadian rapper.
With not having released an album since 2018, it’s been a long three years.
This album has only been out one week and already has been streamed millions and millions of times alongside becoming Spotify’s most streamed album in a single day and Apple Music’s biggest ever album debut! Pretty impressive right?
We expect nothing less from Drake to be honest.
Usain Bolt - Country Yutes
Yes you read that right, Olympic champion Usain Bolt has released his very own album!
Country Yutes is the debut album from the legendary Jamaican sprinter and Olympic champion, Usain Bolt.
It’s not every day you see one of the greatest athletes of all time dive into the music scene. Since retiring from sprinting, the record-breaking Olympian has been focused on developing his music career as a producer. Bolt recently stated that he wants to be like “DJ Khaled” and judging from this album, he is most definitely heading in the right direction.
Country Yutes is coming at top speed. Is there anything that Usain Bolt cannot do?

Lady Gaga - Dawn of Chromatica
Another album to be released on September 3rd was the remix album of Lady Gaga’s sixth studio album Chromatica .
Dawn of Chromatica reimagines the world of Chromatica, minus the three interludes from the original album. Each track on the new album has been remixed and redone with new artists and producers.
This album provides a new, fun dance experience to an already fun album.
New music from Lady Gaga is always exciting so having a remix album is just an added bonus!
The return of ABBA!
Can you actually believe that ABBA is BACK?!
We can’t quite believe it either!
The legendary Swedish group last entered the Official Singles Chart Top 10 in December 1981.
40 years later, the foursome are heading back into the charts with their two new comeback singles from their upcoming new album Voyage.
At the start of the week, the new singles titled ‘I Still Have Faith In You’ and ‘Don’t Shut Me Down’ were already at Numbers 6 and 7 in the official UK chart.
Both songs have already been streamed over 500,000 times!
The new album titled Voyage is set for release on November 5th and has surpassed 80,000 orders in the UK, within just three days!
I Still Have Faith In You and Don’t Shut Me Down are now both available to stream and download.

Kacey Musgraves - Star Crossed
Kacey’s fifth studio album is out today!
Star-Crossed is structured as a “modern-day tragedy in three acts” and is pretty much a Romeo and Juliet inspired break-up album.
Kacey’s new album follows her crossover success from her third album ‘Golden Hour’ which won Best Country Album and Album Of The Year at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
This album tells an extremely personal journey of heartache and healing.
Listening to this album hit us hard in the feels and we just want to give Kacey Musgraves a massive hug.

Steps - What The Future Holds Pt.2
What The Future Holds Pt.2 is the seventh studio album from the British pop group and is the perfect companion piece to the original album that was released back in November last year.
