Top 10 Superhero movies from the MCU!

Top 10 Superhero movies from the MCU!

To celebrate National Superhero Day this week, let's talk superheroes!

And not just any superheroes...our favourite superhero movies!

Now you're probably thinking, how could we possibly pick our top 10 superhero movies when there are SO many?! Let's just say, with great difficulty.

BUT with great power comes great responsibility right?!

Both Marvel and DC have massive cinematic universes that are constantly growing and with there being no shortage of superhero movies in the MCU and DCU we thought that each universe deserved their own moment.

Superhero movies changed the game for everyone. Comic book cinema is thriving like never before and we can't wait to see what the future holds.

We are yet to find someone who hasn't enjoyed watching a superhero movie. They really are THAT great!

To celebrate all things superheroes, we've rounded up our Top 10 Superhero movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

(And please don't judge us for our selection okay - everybody has their own favourite Avenger!)

So without further ado, here are favourite superhero movies from the MCU.

Iron Man (2008)

Back to where it all started. In our opinion, Robert Downey Jr was the perfect person to bring the arrogant Tony Stark to life. Think about it, without Iron Man we might never have had the MCU! :o

Over a decade on, Iron Man remains one of the best Marvel AND one of the best superhero movies ever. We love you 3000 Tony Stark.

Thor (2011)

Our first introduction to the God of Thunder. We also were introduced to Tom Hiddleston as Loki, one of the best villains in the whole of the MCU.

The Avengers (2012)

From its action-packed battles and filled with superheroes galore, The Avengers has gone down in cinematic history and will forever be an iconic movie. And the proof is in the pudding because The Avengers became Marvel's first movie to gross over a billion dollars at the box office! We think the MCU (or any alternative universe) will never be able to replace the feeling of seeing The Avengers for the first time.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

From Bucky Barnes to the introduction of Sam (aka Falcon), Captain America: The Winter Soldier was a one-of-a-kind movie experience for every Marvel fan. The action and fight scenes are some of the best (the elevator fight in particular) and it built on Captain America's character even more by showing us more human sides to him.

Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

A group of alien loners who are forced to take down a villain. Sound's pretty great right?! Yes Guardians of the Galaxy is the least-Marvel out of all the Marvel movies, BUT it's also one of the best. Starlord's mixtape, packed with disco bangers from the 70s and 80s is arguably one of the greatest movie soundtracks of all time. Iconic.

Black Panther (2018)

No Marvel film has ever had a bigger cultural impact than this movie. Everything about this movie is incredible. From the cast to the storyline, there's not one bad thing we could say about this movie. Wakanda forever.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Brave, bold and includes the greatest cinematic cliff-hanger of all time. Infinity War delivers in both devastating and ground-breaking fashion and we most definitely went through every emotion possible when watching this movie. Whoever thought about bringing together Wakandans, Guardians AND Avengers from across the Universe deserves every award possible.

Captain Marvel (2019)

This movie will forever go down in history because it was the first female-led solo movie to come out of the MCU. Brie Larson made her debut as Carol Danvers, AKA Captain Marvel and little girls all over the world had a new role model to look up to.

Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Emotional and epic, this movie delivers in every way possible. You know a movie is THAT great when 3 hours doesn't seem long at all. And yes, we're still crying over Tony Stark. If you know, you know.

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

No Marvel list would be complete without including this absolute gem. From its countless amount of jaw dropping moments (one moment most definitely stands out above the rest - if you know, you know) to its multiple twists and turns, Spider-Man: No Way Home is definitely one of those movies that will continue to be talked about in many years to come. And finally, how incredible is Tom Holland as Peter Parker? Flawless.
