Things to look forward to in 2021
2020 has been a year of delays and postponements for most industries including the entertainment industry.
It’s tough not having anything to look forward to and COVID-19 has definitely got in the way of that in 2020.
With most of us staying at home a lot more than usual, we have missed out on all the latest movie releases due to the cinemas being closed (and still are unfortunately). However, there is a silver lining to this, meaning 2021 is going to be a huge year for new movies and TV shows, including those that have been delayed due to the pandemic.
As we enter into the new year, there are many reasons to be excited for 2021.
With the new year comes all kinds of new entertainment to look forward to - so check out our breakdown of just a few of the TV shows and movies to look forward to in 2021.

This series is set to start streaming on Disney + on the 19th March 2021.

After stealing the Tesseract, Loki travels through time and space to find himself getting involved with mysterious organisation The TVA.
We don’t have a set release date yet but this series is definitely worth waiting for. We’ve waited this long already, another few months won’t hurt right?

Will season 4 follow the same pattern of being based around a holiday? With season two falling in line with Halloween and season three focusing on the 4th of July - could season 4 follow suit? Christmas or Easter? Who knows!
Godzilla vs. Kong
Two of the most famous movie monsters of all time are getting ready to battle in 2021. No specific details about the plot of Godzilla vs Kong have been released but we do know that the film will feature at least one bruising showdown between Godzilla and King Kong. Everybody’s favourite bounty hunter/ father figure will be back for more adventures on Disney+. Although it is still very early stages to have information on the plot and cast of season three, we can only assume that Pedro Pascal will return in the title role and we will be seeing even more cuteness from the little green one.
Season Three of The Mandalorian is aiming for release on Disney+ around Christmas 2021.
Mortal Kombat
The live-action Mortal Kombat movie was set for release back in mid-2020 but it has been pushed back several times due to the ongoing pandemic. The reboot of the video-game-turned-movie franchise is now scheduled for release in April 2021.
Again, like a few other releases set for 2021, there is no Mortal Kombat trailer but producer Todd Garner has promised that a trailer for the live-action is coming in the new year.
