Things to do in the Easter Holidays!

The days are getting longer, the night are getting lighters and the temperatures are rising (slowly). Happy Spring everyone!

Chocolate eggs, Easter egg hunts, bunny ears and Summer in touching distance. Who doesn't love Easter?

If we're talking about the British weather, then us Brits know that the weather can be hit and miss around the Easter break, BUT never fear, sunshine or rain, there is always plenty to do!

Over the years, celebrating Easter has become more than just going to church on Easter Sunday and having an Easter egg to indulge in over the weekend. For some, Easter is like a mini Christmas! From its decorations to the activities, Easter is a very egg-citing time and there are so many great ways to celebrate.

We also know that it can become a little overwhelming for parents to keep their children occupied for two weeks. SO, if you're looking for Easter activities to do as a family, then this blog post is for you.

From Easter egg hunts and fun family trails to The Great Easter Bake Off, there are so many egg-citing activities to do during the Easter holidays. There's so much to do and see that your weeks will be filled with fun things to do in no time!

Easter Egg Hunt

No Easter holiday is complete without an egg hunt. Out of all of the Easter traditions, this is one of our favourites! Whether it's in your house or back garden, you can hide colourful eggs filled with treats and let your little ones search for them. They are a great way to not only be creative but also perfect to keep children entertained over Easter.

DIY Easter Crafts

It's time to get creative! Let your kids' creativity run wild as they design their own Easter masterpieces. From painting eggs to creating their very own Easter baskets, there are so many things to create! It's a fantastic way to bond with your kids and a great opportunity for them to unleash their artistic talents. Just be prepared for a glitter explosion (it gets everywhere, trust us).

The Great Easter Bake Off

What's an Easter break without some baking?! Just when you think you've had enough chocolate, why not put it to some good use? With all the leftover chocolate (if you have any) you can use it to create some egg-cellent Easter treats for everyone. From bunny-shaped cookies to mini egg nests, the options are as sweet as can be.

Spring Clean

The title says it all really. You may struggle to get the kids onboard for this one, but if your house or wardrobe is in need of a spring clean, the Easter holidays are the perfect time to get the job done. It's time to get cleaning!

Make a Festive Wreath

Looking to decorate your house for Easter? A DIY Easter wreath is the perfect way to do just that. It's a great activity to do alone or with kids. Things like plastic eggs, faux flowers, and fuzzy chicks can be used to make it personal to you and your decor.

Be Active

Now exercise is probably the last thing on your mind if you're off during the Easter Holidays BUT it's the perfect time to be active! Especially if the weather is lovely outside (we can hope!). Grab your water bottles and get out in that fresh air. No excuses!

Have a Picnic

Gather your favourite Easter treats and head to your favourite spot for a picnic. Whether that be your local park or even in your back garden, a picnic works everywhere! Everybody loves a picnic and Easter is the perfect time to indulge in all of the chocolate and Easter themed treats. We especially love the bunny shaped crumpets!

Nature Walks

After you change out of your Sunday best, get outside with the family and go for a walk. It's finally Spring after all!
