Our favourite Disney couples! 💖

We're celebrating all types of LOVE today and what better way to celebrate than to talk about our favourite Disney couples?!

Love is in the air and we can't help but think about romance. Everyone secretly dreams of that happily ever after scenario and Disney does it best. We've always had a special place in our hearts for Disney and on the day of love, we thought it would be great to list some of our favourites!

Mickey and Minnie Mouse

We couldn't put a list together of our favourite Disney couples without including the OG Disney couple. When it comes to Disney couples, everything will always begin and end with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Mickey and Minnie are the ultimate couple goals! I mean, they have been together since 1928 and are still going strong! They've been through it all..

Belle & The Beast (Beauty and the Beast)

Okay so let's start off by saying, yes the Beast did force Belle to stay in his castle BUT he did redeem himself. He's hardly the prince charming that Belle has read about in her books, but the story of how Belle learns to see beyond his Beastly-ness is a love story that is timeless.

Belle proves that beauty is found within and brings out the best in the Beast which we love to see! Belle and the Beast differ from other Disney couples because of the story's role reversal.

Despite all the iffy parts, Belle falls in love with the Beast for non-superficial reasons. On the flip side, Beast truly respects Belle unlike Gaston...

Carl and Ellie (Up)

From their childhood bonding over adventure to the joys and heartbreak of their married life, Carl and Ellie are the epitome of relationship goals. Not only are they best friends, but their love story is like no other. Their personalities also balance each other so well. I'm sure you will agree with us when we say that we are truly invested in Carl and Ellie's love story and we hope that one day someone will be as devoted to us like Carl is with Ellie.

Also, if you didn't cry during the first minutes of Up, then you seriously have some strong tear ducts.

Tarzan & Jane (Tarzan)

Now this is probably a couple that you wouldn't think would make our list BUT hear us out...

Tarzan and Jane prove to each other time and time again that they're willing to sacrifice the things they love in order to be together and if that doesn't scream couple goals then I don't know what will! Tarzan risks the lives of his gorilla family for Jane, while Jane ends up living with Tarzan in the jungle. Also, they don't even speak the same language yet the language barrier doesn't stop them from growing closer!

Anna and Kristoff (Frozen)

Sometimes the best relationships have to overcome the most obstacles.

What is true love if your partner doesn't irritate you the majority of the time? Yes, at first Anna and Kristoff did not get along well and their personalities clashed BUT as they spent more time together, they learned to understand and care for each other. From the goofiness to their sense of adventure, we love Anna and Kristoff as a couple!

Rapunzel and Flynn Rider (Tangled)

Not to pick favourites BUT Rapunzel and Flynn are up there as one of the best.

If you find someone who is willing to help you live out your dream, keep them. That's what Rapunzel did with Flynn Rider. Not only did Flynn save Rapunzel from her terrible stepmother, he took her to see the "floating lights" which was her lifelong dream. On the flipside, Rapunzel helped Flynn reconnect with his true self (Eugene), which led him to fall for her bravery and tendency to see the good in everything.

At first, they misunderstood each other but when faced with the dangers of the outside world, there was no hesitation to help each other from danger. That's love right there.

Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl (The Incredibles)

Couples that save the world together, stay together. Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl prove that by sharing new experiences, allowing for each other's strengths and weaknesses, saving the world together AND wearing Lycra are just some of the secrets to keeping the romance alive.

Yes, Bob and Helen Parr (aka Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl) make it look easy but something's telling us that saving the world can't be THAT easy but having your significant other by your side must help.

Whether they are fighting super villains or trying to conquer the day to day chaos of parenting, Bob and Helen make the perfect team. No matter what, they always have each other's back - forever. #Powercouple

 Meg and Hercules (Hercules)

Having had her heart broken several times and working for one hell of a boss (quite literally - he lives in hell!), despite everything, Meg falls in love with Hercules and even dies for him. Not only that, Hercules loves Meg that much that he would much rather die than live in a world where she doesn't exist.

Even in the face of death, their love for each other didn't waver. These two would literally die for each other. True love takes sacrifice.

Nala and Simba (The Lion King)

Can you feel the love tonight? Yes we can Elton John, yes we can.

From best friends to life partners, you have to admit that Nala and Simba's relationship has got to be one of the most romantic... they do find their way back into each other's lives after years apart after all!

Aladdin and Prince Jasmine (Aladdin)

Ask anyone who their favourite Disney couple is and I guarantee that Aladdin and Princess Jasmine come up multiple times.

Their story shows how love is stronger than most things like custom, class and power. As characters they were both rebellious but kind at heart, and honestly just the perfect fit for each other. They ultimately showed each other what true love is and more! Aladdin helped show Jasmine the freedom and wonder she was looking for, while Jasmine showed Aladdin that she truly loved him for who he was.
