New movie releases in July!

New movie releases in July!

It can be hard to keep a track of when movies were meant to come out as we’ve had numerous schedule changes over the past couple of years due to the pandemic.

But 2022 has already shaped out to be one of the biggest years for movie releases with the releases of movies like The Batman, Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore, Doctor Strange: Madness in the Multiverse, Jurassic World, Lightyear AND Top Gun: Maverick, just to name a few.

And it doesn’t stop there…July is looking like another great month for new movie releases. From romantic dramas to action thrillers, we’re set for the next 30 days.

Minions: The Rise of Gru

Minions: The Rise of Gru was among the movies affected by the pandemic and was initially due to be released in cinemas in July 2020 BUT after what feels like forever, the day has finally come! As of today, Minions: The Rise of Gru is officially out in cinemas worldwide!

This summer, from the biggest global animated franchise in history comes the origin story of how the world's greatest supervillain group Vicious 6 and his mission to become the world's biggest supervillain.

From an A-list voice cast to guaranteed belly laughs, Minions: The Rise of Gru is the perfect movie to kickstart your family's summer.

Hello, Goodbye and Everything In Between

Starring Talia Ryder and Jordan Fisher, this new romantic drama follows in the footsteps of other young adult novels that have been brought to life on the streaming platform. Hello, Goodbye and Everything In Between  is an adaptation of the Jennifer E. Smith novel with the same title and sees a couple on the verge of breaking up before college. As they prepare to head out to college they retrace their relationship on one last date.

If you're a fan of the To All The Boys trilogy you may recognise the leading star in this new movie too...

Hello, Goodbye and Everything In Between officially starts streaming on Netflix on July 6th.

Thor: Love and Thunder

And just like that we’re being treated to another MCU movie! This time we get to see our favourite God on the big screen again.

Chris Hemsworth is BACK as our beloved God of Thunder and joining him is the newly-installed ruler of New Asgard, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson). Bad news for us Loki fans though as unfortunately Tom Hiddleston will not be returning.

Thor: Love and Thunder finds Thor on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced - a quest for inner space. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (played by Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods.

After already being blessed with a bunch of teasers and trailers, it looks like we’re in for a gooden and also some very familiar faces. Did somebody say the Guardians of the Galaxy?? Nope, not us.

After a series of delays, Thor: Love and Thunder is set for release on July 8th BUT lucky for us UK fans, we can see the movie in cinemas a day earlier on July 7th.

The Sea Beast

Filled with wild and mythical fun, The Sea Beast is a daring sea adventure that tells the story of Jacob Holland, a legendary sea monster whose life is turned upside down when a young girl, Maisie Brumble stows away on his ship to find an unlikely friend in a terrifying sea monster.

The animated sea adventure is directed by Chris Williams who has co-directed Disney classics, Moana, Big Hero 6 and Bolt.

The Sea Beast will be available to watch globally on Netflix on Friday July 8th.

Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 3

The long-awaited trilogy is finally here.

In the monster-plagued town of Seabrook, the local high school has three separate cliques: Cheerleaders, Zombies, and Werewolves. When alien tweens arrive to bring peace, they find instead the Earth-like disharmony begins to infect them.”

Now it wouldn’t be a Zombies movie without Seabrook’s star-crossed zombie/cheerleader couple Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly as Zed and Addison would it?! And we have some great news for you, they’re both back for the third movie!

However, unfortunately for us Zombie fans, it's been confirmed that Zombies 3 will be the final movie of the series. Cue the tears.

Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 3 premieres exclusively on Disney + on July 15th.

Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank

Loosely based on the Mel Brooks' 1974 movie Blazing Saddles, Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank sees a hard on his luck hound named Hank finding himself in a town full of cats who need a hero to defend them from a ruthless villain's evil plot to wipe their village off the map.

Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank features the voices of Michael Cera, Samuel L. Jackson, Ricky Gervais, Michelle Yeoh, Djimon Hounsou, Mel Brooks, George Takei, Gabriel Iglesias and Aasif Mandvi. Star studded or what?!

The new animation by Paramount Pictures is out in cinemas on July 15th.

The Gray Man

Directed by the Russo brothers, The Gray Man is expected to be one of Netflix’s most ambitious action movies in its history.

When a shadowy CIA agent uncovers damning agency secrets, he’s hunted across the globe by a sociopathic rogue operative who’s put a bounty on his head.

The Gray Man brings together an all-star cast for a new action thriller. Starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, and Rege-Jean Page.

A movie with Ryan Gosling AND Chris Evans?! Count us in.

You can stream The Gray Man exclusively on Netflix on July 15th.

Purple Hearts

Based on Tess Wakefield's novel of the same name, Purple Hearts is definitely a movie for hopeless romantics.

Sofia Carson, Anthony Ippolito, and Nicholas Galitzine are set to star in a new romantic drama all about an aspiring musician who finds true love with a soldier in an unexpected way.

It's a timely love story about two star-crossed lovers and looks like it will definitely be pulling at our heart strings!

Purple Hearts is available to stream on Netflix on July 29th.

Uncoupled

If you love a rom-com, then Uncoupled has got to be at the top of your movie watch list.

From the creator of Emily in Paris and Sex and the City, comes a new Netflix comedy starring Neil Patrick Harris.

Stunned when his long time boyfriend moves out, a New York City real estate broker faces the prospect of starting over and dating again - in his 40s.

Uncoupled will be available to stream on Netflix on July 29th.

DC League of Super Pets

Superheroes and pets?! Name a better combination.

In DC League of Super Pets, Krypto the Super Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the superheroes.

This movie sees the Justice League's furry friends saving the day and is set to be a fun film that's perfect for the whole family.

Oh and of course, the DC League of Super Pets cast is absolutely stacked with A-list talent. The star studded cast features Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Diego Luna, Natasha Lyonne, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski and Keanu Reeves, just to name a few.

DC League of Super Pets flies into cinemas on July 29th.

Now just when you think that’s it, of course there are also new TV series that are being released this month too! Including the one we’ve all been waiting for… Stranger Things - Season 4 - Volume 2, which is out today! (You know what we’ll be binge watching the weekend!)
