Let's talk Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem!

The month of March is suddenly a whole lot better because our favourite crime-fighting turtles are back!

The cast of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem has officially been announced and we've also been treated to a little pizza the action with the official teaser trailer.

From permanent teenager Seth Rogen, a new generation of heroes will rise... straight from the sewers!

What's the story this time? Well, we're glad you asked! So the teaser trailer itself doesn't give TOO much away about the movie's plot but in the trailer's YouTube description there was a brief synopsis...

After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

Directed by Jeff Rowe and Kyler Spears, the nearly two minute trailer of the animated movie looks nostalgic, action-packed and of course, hilarious! AND the mutants the turtles will go up against will be a collection of characters from the TMNT history. How ICONIC!

AND Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will be the seventh film in the feature franchise based on the 1984 comic. Despite the nostalgia, they certainly are modern day turtles as in the trailer you see them recording themselves on a smartphone as they practice using their weapons on watermelons! Imagine a Ninja Turtles TikTok next...

During the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards on Saturday 4th March, Seth Rogen formally announced the voice cast of the movie and let me tell you, we are in for a treat! The cast is a great mix of well known names and rising stars, including Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko, Jackie Chan as Splinter, John Cena as Rocksteady and Seth Rogen himself as Bebop.
