Happy Disney + Day! 🎂🎉

Did you know that Disney + turns 2 years old today?

Two years ago today, Disney launched their new streaming service titled Disney +.

For the two year anniversary of the launch of the streaming service, Disney + are celebrating with a virtual party filled with brand new releases including must-see TV, shorts, and movies. 

As Winter is fast approaching and temperatures dropping, we'd rather stay inside and stay warm where we can stream our favourite shows! 

Walt Disney Company CEO, Bob Chapek recently said in a statement “This day of appreciation brings to life our mission to entertain, inform, and inspire fans and families around the globe through the power of unparalleled storytelling, and will become an annual tentpole event to be amplified across our global businesses.”

To celebrate two years of Disney +, here's a list of the new movies and shows that will be arriving on Disney + this month including Hawkeye, The Beatles: Get Back, and more!

Hawkeye

Something we've all been waiting for is the release of Hawkeye. This live-action series features Jeremy Runner reprising his role as expert marksman Clint Barton a.k.a Hawkeye and introducing the next generation of heroes in the form of Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop. 

The first two episodes of the new series will be premiering on November 24th.

Christmas

With it ALREADY being November, we are slowly entering the Christmas season and us Disney + subscribers are getting their first batch of winter goodies. One stand out this month is the new Disney + series Olaf Present’s. The animated shorts feature everybody’s favourite snowman, Olaf  who will retell beloved Disney stories with his own artistic flair.

Another new movie to look forward to is Home Sweet Home Alone which is a brand new movie that focuses on Max Mercer, a mischievous young boy who has been left behind while his parents celebrate the holidays in Japan. Home Sweet Home Alone premieres today on Disney +.

Other Disney + Christmas movie highlights coming this month include: 

Jingle All The Way, Jingle All The Way 2, Santa Buddies, The Search for Santa Paws, just to name a few!

Short films

There are a number of short films that are making their debut on Disney + on Disney + Day. This includes the brand new Luca short, Ciao Alberto which focuses on the sea monster, Alberto, who tries to prove himself to his mentor.

In addition to the shorts, movies and TV series, a new new Marvel Studios Disney + Day special will explore the past, present, and future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We also get to see the premier of a new Boba Fett documentary called 'Under the Helmet'.

Oh, and Peter Jackson's documentary The Beatles: Get Back premieres on November 25th with new instalments arriving on November 26th and 27th.

Just when you think that's it... no there's more!

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is finally coming to Disney +. From today, Disney + subscribers can stream the superhero movie at no added cost. So if you missed the chance to see the latest installment from the MCU on the big screen, you won't have to wait any longer!

Also from today, Jungle Cruise is now available to stream at no added cost too. Another one for those who missed watching the movie on the big screen OR you just want to watch the movie again!

Disney are truly spoiling us this November and we can't wait to put our comfies on and get the popcorn and blankets ready for a Disney + binge weekend.
