If it's too cold to go outside or you don't fancy a trip to the cinema, never fear, there are plenty of movies to watch on TV and streaming services this festive season!
From old to new, TV channels and streaming services have a host of classics and new movies to choose from. We're almost spoiled for choice with how impressive the selection is this year!
So between Netflix, Disney +, Sky Cinema and Prime Video, each streaming service has plenty of other choices to discover with something for everyone to enjoy. With so much choice, we're here to help you and your family and list some of our favourites this year.
So without further ado, here are the best movies to watch on the small screen this Christmas.
The Santa Clauses - Disney +
We still can't believe that Scott Calvin is back on our screens this Christmas. It really is a Christmas miracle. The Santa Clauses is not another Santa Claus movie BUT it is actually a series. This six part festive series sees Santa approaching his 65th birthday, reflecting back on his life and realising he may want to give up his sleigh once and for all and live a normal life.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special - Disney +
Nobody knows how, but somehow the Guardians of the Galaxy team have become the Marvel heroes most associated with Christmas.
The one-off episode follows the group as they take in Cosmo the Spacedog (voiced by Maria Bakalova) as a new member and try to find the perfect Christmas present for Peter Quill (Star-Lord), ultimately deciding to fetch his childhood hero - Kevin Bacon.
Spirited - Apple TV+
Ryan Reynolds in a musical at Christmas. Yes, you read that right. Spirited is a hilarious modern musical update of the classic Charles Dickens story about Ebenezer Scrooge and the all-singing, all-dancing festive film is one of this year's must watch Christmas movies.
Also, Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell together in a movie is everything and more.
Christmas With You - Netflix
Freddie Prinze. Jr stars in this festive film which follows an international pop star as she struggles to come up with her next hit. Deciding to grant a young fan's Christmas wish to meet her in a small town, she finds musical inspiration when she gets a shot at true love.
The Noel Diary - Netflix
Cleaning out his childhood home at Christmas, a novelist meets a woman searching for her birth mother. Jacob (Justin Hartley) discovers a diary that may unlock mysteries from both of their pasts.
The Noel Diary is about the things that make us who we are and how we piece together the past the make our own lives. Another one to pull at the heart strings.

Falling for Christmas - Netflix
We're still not over Lindsay Lohan being back on our screens for the Christmas season! In the days leading up to Christmas, a young engaged heiress has a skiing accident and after she is diagnosed with amnesia, she finds herself in the care of a handsome cabin owner and his daughter.
If you love a cheesy Christmas movie then this definitely has to be one to add to your Christmas movie watchlist. What could be better than seeing Lindsay Lohan in a Christmas movie?

Now we all know the classic tale of Ebenzer Scrooge, well this musical adaptation is a supernatural, time-travelling take on the Charles Dicken's cult Christmas story.

If you're after a festive feel good movie, then this movie is just that. This is Christmas is a cosy rom-com starring Alfred Enoch and Kaya Scodelario. Not only does this movie have an all-star cast, but it also looks set to be as comforting as a mug of hot chocolate on a snowy day. Emma and Adam take the same commuter train each morning, meeting the same passengers every day. And with Timothy Spall, Robert Emms, Joanna Scanlan and Ben Miller all getting in on the action, it's sure to be an interesting role.
